Start here... Oral sepsis is a potentially life-threatening condition that arises when a bacterial infection in the mouth, such as a tooth abscess, spreads into the bloodstream and triggers a systemic inflammatory response. This means the infection, instead of being contained in the mouth, becomes a body-wide issue, causing a severe and rapid reaction. 

It is very rare but it is a thing. We endorse and encourage antibiotic premedications for dental procedures or antibiotic regimens for dental infections and are simply looking to provide another weapon to protect against systemic infectious through our education on essential oils and their use through a daily oral hygiene regimen.

I, too, wish to revisit the effectiveness of incorporating essential oils into your daily dental regimen.
And it is easier than you initially think, and you don't need me to spray ozone into your extraction sockets.
At Irish Dental, like mist dental offices, we function generally as mechanics cleaning bad stuff from teeth. After hearing stories in the community from people whose loved ones have passed from random sepsis after going in for a stent... and after the radiologist stumbles on what happens to be a localized draining area of concern around a tooth because there was no obvious other evidence of anything wrong (which skips by about a thousand other variables), we want to provide some education to you at home and some pretty amazing but super underutilized methods to rip a dental cause from the decision tree of what caused or can cause a life-threatening... or ending full body infection.

The human body is a complex organism. No one fully understands it, but it is our goal to help you in our little part of this. We start tomorrow.

Our Bouvier puppy endorsing ACT Fluoride rinse or Salt Water or Essential Oil (eucalyptus, peppermint, tea tree.. just not anise) as the key to healthy gingiva. We brush the dogs teeth. But for us people the principles remain the same. Especially the Salt water and essential oils.

This never gets old. We cannot get enough. And the puppy Maverick always shows up... as long as he gets a treat and toss...

Yes. We do more than just play around with our dogs at Irish Dental. We actually do some pretty good dentistry. But you already knew that.

Also, we are patient, understanding, and not pushy about treatment. This fine gentleman wants one more tooth made brilliant to perfect his smile and is not able to quite get there this year. We get it, and know it is sometimes a 5k, 10k, or even a marathon and not always a sprint to build back that smile.
