It is rare that put anything super personal on my business social media. I just to remind everyone how important good oral hygiene is even for our fur babies. Periodontal disease in dogs can shorten their lives including leading to tooth loss, risk with general anesthesia to keep their teeth clean and transient Septecimia. I started him early brushing his teeth so he actually loves it. I use a soft brush and make sure to get the back teeth. Don’t forget the oral cavity is the gateway to your pets body also

Saving Teeth. This is a Follow up on a case I presented before. This patient came to me second opinion wanting to save his tooth. Was told to do implant. As you see there is no bone on the lingual and a one wall defect on the facial. An implant in that site would have been impossible due to the lack of bone. Even with grafting would need to consider removing other incisors to replace 25. He wanted to hold onto it as long as possible. My treatment was as follows :
Twin light laser therapy Fotona Laser with occlusal adjustment. The tooth was class III Mobile. Prf on the facial and lingual tooth #25 Flapping this open would have likely cause the tooth to fall out or get 100% recession on facial and lingual Next step was
Endo treatment by his general dentist Dr LeCann with splinting of tooth #22-27. Follow up at one year with Ct scan shows still no bone on the lingual but regeneration of the one wall defect on the facial. The tooth is stable and he is happy with the result. This will not last him forever which he knew Preop but the tissue is healthy. Min probing depth and he was able to keep his tooth (for a while at least)

Ask any periodontist how hard it is to do a lingual graft, let alone a connective tissue lingual graft on the lower anteriors. So many things to consider, namely access, depth of the floor of mouth, root proximity of the lower incisors. A connective tissue graft is technically way more challenging to do BUT one can get better root coverage. That is what I did in this case. As you can see almost 9 mm of recession on tooth #24 lingual. The final photos are from today’s postop. Thrilled with the result and the patients tooth sensitivity has resolved. Happy patient Happy Doctor. This patient self referred since one of her dear friends had a graft done with me and was so happy with her result. Honored when one patient spreads the word about my practice. This was challenging but truly rewarding.

Just a simple case of Connective Tissue Graft area 25. Adding Platelet Rich Fibrin allows for better and faster healing. Many would have done a Free Gingival Graft which by is also fine. I just l love getting great results like this. Next time I will get rid of the saliva bubbles before photos. I love what I do, the people I work with and of course the patients
