If your kid plays sports, they need a custom mouth guard. Not the $5 boil-and-bite from the sporting goods store. A real one.
Those store-bought guards are bulky, they don't fit well, and kids hate wearing them — so they don't. Which defeats the entire purpose.
A custom sports guard is molded to your kid's actual teeth. It fits snugly, it's comfortable, they can breathe and talk normally, and they'll actually keep it in during the game. That's the part that matters most — a mouth guard only works if it's in their mouth.
I'll let my kids play just about anything. Soccer, basketball, hockey — I'm not the kind of parent who wraps them in bubble wrap. But they're wearing a proper mouth guard. Because I've seen what happens when a tooth gets knocked loose or knocked out, and it's not something I'm willing to gamble on.
Chewing on pens, biting nails, opening things with their teeth — those are the habits I'm on them about at home. And a good mouth guard on the field.
Getting your kid fitted for a custom sports guard is quick and easy.
