Happy Boss’s Day to Dr. Nicolette! 🎉🦷

This Boss’s Day feels especially meaningful after celebrating a pretty incredible milestone last month, 30 years of Nicolette Family Dental!

For three decades, Dr. Nicolette has built a practice centered around caring for people, building relationships, and helping generations of patients feel confident in their smiles.

Running a dental practice means wearing a LOT of hats. Dentist, leader, problem-solver, teacher, encourager... and occasionally the person everyone comes looking for when they need an answer. 😉

We’re incredibly grateful for the leadership and dedication that have helped shape Nicolette Family Dental into the practice it is today.

🍂 Meet Autumn! 🦷🤍

We have a new face at Nicolette Family Dental, and we’re so excited to officially introduce her!

Meet Autumn, our dental assistant! 👋

Autumn loves being able to help others and make a positive difference in someone’s day, which makes her a wonderful addition to our team. She’s passionate about continuing to learn, grow, and expand her skills in the dental field, and we’re so happy to have her growing alongside us!

Outside of the office, Autumn is a proud mom of three and loves spending quality time with her family. She also enjoys staying active and working out, and if she’s out shopping, there’s a pretty good chance she’s coming home with a new plant to add to her collection. 🪴😉

And with a name like Autumn, it seems especially fitting to introduce her in October! 🍁🎃 She loves decorating for the seasons and holidays and finding little ways to make spaces feel warm and inviting.

We’re so excited to have Autumn as part of the Nicolette Family Dental family, and we can’t wait for all of our patients to get to know her!

🦷 October is National Dental Hygiene Month! 🪥✨

And we couldn’t let the month go by without celebrating our wonderful dental hygienist, Sydney! 🤍

If you’ve had the pleasure of having Sydney take care of your smile, you know there’s a lot more to a hygiene appointment than simply getting your teeth cleaned!

Dental hygienists play such an important role in your overall oral health. Sydney helps our patients keep their teeth and gums healthy by removing plaque and tartar buildup, monitoring gum health, taking necessary X-rays, providing personalized recommendations for at-home care, and helping our team catch potential concerns early.

She’s also there to answer your questions, encourage you to keep up those healthy habits, and, of course, give you that wonderfully clean-teeth feeling we all love. 😁✨

We’re so grateful to have Sydney as part of the Nicolette Family Dental team and appreciate the care she gives our patients every day!

Want to know something REALLY scary? 😱

The plaque and food hiding between your teeth when you skip flossing. 👻🦷

Brushing twice a day is one of the best things you can do for your smile, but your toothbrush simply can’t reach every surface of your teeth. Flossing helps clean those tight spaces between teeth and around the gumline where plaque loves to hide.

Over time, leaving that buildup behind can contribute to cavities, irritated gums, and gum disease, and THAT is much scarier than anything you’ll see this Halloween. 🎃

So tonight, before you head to bed:
🪥 Brush for two minutes
🦷 Floss between those teeth
😁 Go to sleep knowing your dental hygienist would be proud

Today is World Mental Health Day, an important reminder that taking care of ourselves means caring for our mental health just as much as our physical health. 💚

Life gets busy. Between work, family, appointments, responsibilities, and everything else competing for our attention, taking care of ourselves can easily move to the bottom of the list.

Today, we encourage you to check in with yourself. Take a walk, call someone you love, get a little extra rest, spend some time outside, or simply give yourself permission to slow down.

At Nicolette Family Dental, we believe caring for people goes far beyond their teeth. Behind every smile is a person, and that person matters. 🤍

Fall schedules are filling up, the holidays will be here before we know it, and now is the perfect time to make sure your smile is taken care of too! 🍁🦷

Routine dental cleanings are about more than just leaving with that fresh, clean feeling. Regular visits give our team the opportunity to remove buildup that brushing and flossing can’t always tackle at home, check the health of your gums, and catch potential concerns while they’re still small.
