What started as a dream in 1982 with Dr. James DeLapp has grown into a family legacy spanning more than four decades.

When Dr. Candace DeLapp joined the practice in 1992, together they built Cottonwood Dental Group around a simple philosophy: treat every patient like family.

Today, their daughter, Dr. Sarah Parsons, proudly carries that tradition forward as owner and cosmetic dentist. Short answer: NO.

Flossing is the ONLY way to properly clean between your teeth where your toothbrush can’t reach. Skipping even one night allows colonies of bacteria and plaque to multiply, increasing your risk for:

• Gingivitis
• Periodontal disease
• Cavities between teeth
• Bad breath

✅ Proper flossing technique:
• Use about 6” of floss
• Wrap around your middle fingers
• Guide gently with your index fingers
• Once between the teeth, create a “C-shape” around each tooth
• Clean both sides of every tooth
• Move to a clean section of floss every 2–3 teeth

Not a fan of traditional floss? Alternatives like a Waterpik can also help improve gum health and clean between teeth.
