Dr. Kim’s path to prosthodontics started with the brain — literally. Before dentistry, he spent four years studying Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University, then earned his dental degree at UCLA. From there, he completed three additional years of intensive training in full-mouth rehabilitation on implants and natural teeth at the University of Illinois Chicago, along with a Master’s in Oral Biology earned through research into dental implant surfaces, funded by the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. He’s also completed the rigorous board certification process in prosthodontics.

But credentials only tell part of the story. What truly drives Dr. Kim is restoring confidence — crafting custom-tailored smiles that look and feel like a patient’s own.

So many people come to him carrying years of frustration: missing teeth, worn-down smiles, concerns they’ve quietly lived with for far too long. Dr. Kim believes trust begins with transparency. A natural educator and visual storyteller, he’ll walk you through the entire process before anything begins, keeping you involved in planning your new smile every step of the way. Using the latest technology and science, his goal is simple — to give you a smile you’ll love for years to come.

When he’s not thinking about dentistry (which, admittedly, is most of the time), you’ll find him meditating, weight lifting, or catching a movie.

Dr. Kim is one of two board-certified prosthodontists at MADE, proudly serving northwest Indiana and the greater Chicagoland area.

A proud moment to share! 🎉 Dr. Anthony Pallotto and Dr. Don Kim are honored to step into leadership of the Study Club of the Third Coast — a Seattle Study Club based right here in Highland, Indiana.

We’re deeply grateful to Dr. Gene Ranieri, who founded this club and built a foundation of thoughtful, community-minded learning. It’s a privilege to carry his vision forward.

The club remains a dynamic learning environment for the Northwest Indiana and greater Chicagoland dental community — a place for clinicians to come together, think more intentionally about patient care, and grow through real cases and meaningful conversation.

Thank you, Dr. Ranieri, for entrusting us with this next chapter. We’re excited for all that’s ahead. 🦷🌎❤️
