We want to wish Dottie a happy retirement! She has been with our office for 22 years, and is a familiar face to most. We appreciate her dedication to educating her loyal patients, and the joy she brought to everyone in the office! She will be greatly missed, but we are excited for this new chapter in her life. She will get to enjoy her grandson Huxley and go on more adventures we all love hearing about.

Dear Patients:
On March 22, 2020, the Pennsylvania Department of Health issued a directive stating that dental offices must close immediately, even for emergencies unless such care could be provided in negative pressure isolation rooms with HEPA filtration and by personnel fully gowned, gloved and face shield with N95 masks.
Our state's dental schools are not equipped this way. In fact most hospitals are not equipped this way.
The Pennsylvania Dental Association was not consulted before the directive was issued. They are attempting to get answers and guidance as this is not a sustainable directive.
We will keep you posted.
In the meantime, messages will be monitored and you may reach me by calling the office and getting my number in the event of a dental emergency. I will call and give you guidance although it is unlikely that I will be able to see you due to this directive. We love our dental family and will do what we can to be of aid to our patients. Stay healthy and we will look forward to seeing everyone when things normalize. We will continue to make calls to patients to reschedule existing appointments over the coming days and weeks. On March 17, 2020 the American Dental Association requested that dental offices across the United States suspend the provision of elective and non-emergent dental care for the next three weeks.

Emergency care will still be available in our office and we will be staffed and opened with limited hours to treat such emergencies. Please call the office at 717-533-4202 if you need assistance for a dental emergency.

This action is in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic. As health professionals, we must do our part to ensure the safety and health of our patients, co-workers and fellow citizens. That is why we feel strongly that dental offices must comply with this request from the scientific community. Those offices that do not restrict their hours are operating irresponsibly.

We will keep you informed as the situation evolves. Please know that we are here for you if you need us and we appreciate your loyalty to our practice. Please practice social distancing, wash your hands frequently, stay well and take care of your loved ones!

At Wesley R. Davis, D.D.S., we are taking the COVID-19 virus very seriously. We are monitoring the situation and plan to follow the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC , the American Dental Association and the Pennsylvania Dental Association. As always, we will continue to adhere to the guidelines of the CDC regarding sterilization and disinfection. At this time, we are planning on remaining open to meet the needs of our family of dental patients. We are making a few changes to minimize the risk associated with the virus.

1. Please do not keep a scheduled appointment if you or a family member are sick, or have had a cough or fever in the last 48 hours or have traveled internationally in the last 14 days. Just call and reschedule your appointment.
2. We will ask you about the above conditions as our threshold to treat patients with any kind of respiratory symptoms is lowered and we may suggest that we reschedule your appointment.
3. If possible, please come to your appointment alone. If a parent is bringing a child, please try not to bring children who do not have appointments with you. We are trying to minimize people congregating in the waiting room.
4. Magazines and children’s books have been removed from the waiting room and our coffee bar is closed. Please feel free to bring your own personal reading material.
5. We have hand sanitizer available throughout the office.

We appreciate your understanding during this challenging time for all of us. We love our dental family and are determined to be available to meet your dental needs. We will monitor the situation and keep you posted . Thanks for your help and understanding.

This patient was displeased with the appearance of an old restoration on his front tooth. We restored this tooth with an all ceramic crown giving him a very nice esthetic result as well as providing support to his tooth in the process.
