meet Susie, our talented, kind-hearted clinical assistant! 👋🏼
Born in El Salvador, she moved to the United States with her mom and two sisters, settling in Virginia at 16. After high school, she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do, so she picked up a job at a Thai restaurant, where she worked for 4 years. Eventually, she decided to return to school and enrolled in a dental assistant program in Chesterfield. She always knew she wanted to be able to educate people about their oral health.
She has been in the dental field since 2015, gaining experience in front desk operations, back office work, and assisting. In 2019, she was introduced to orthodontic care and immediately felt like she had found the perfect fit.
Becoming a mother to Naomi (15), Enrique (9), and Calvin (7) has been her greatest joy—her kids are her motivation and inspiration to keep pursuing her dreams. She loves being a sports mom, cheering on her kids in their activities, and supporting them in everything they do.
Beyond her career, she cherishes spending quality time with her kids and family, and her favorite tradition is visiting the Outer Banks (OBX) every summer. They are foodies who love trying new places in the city or having a nice picnic at a downtown park. She also has a deep love for journaling and writing, using words to reflect, express, and inspire others. 🩷
