Simply visit the Veterinary Oral Health Council website. The mission of this organization is to review products for effective plaque and tartar control in animals when used as directed. Those deemed efficacious receive the VOHC Seal of Acceptance.

ATTENTION all animal lovers! 🐾💕Donations to between now and April 12th will enter you into our raffle for one of several prizes. Three different ways to enter: drop off a donation at office, make an online donation to BRHS and send a copy of your receipt to our email address ([email protected]), or email a receipt from being a patron to one of the local businesses that are also part of the “Paws for a Purpose” fundraiser. The Pet Loss Support Group is just one of the many services Blue Ridge Humane Society provides for people and their pets. Feel free to reach out to them and share with other who may be in need.

Our pets truly are family. They steal our hearts in ways we never imagined - and saying goodbye is often the hardest part of loving them. 🐾

At Blue Ridge Humane Society, we’re here to support you through that difficult time. We offer a pet loss support group that is led by a licensed clinical mental health counselor, providing a safe, compassionate, and judgment-free space to connect with others who understand your grief. This group meets every 3rd Wednesday at 353 Banner Farm Road in Mills River and is made possible through the support of Four Seasons Dental.

We also believe every pet owner should be given the chance to memorialize their pet and have the opportunity for closure. That’s why we offer low-cost cremation services to our community. There are no criteria to use this program, and fees are based on the animal's weight and if you want your pet's remains returned to you. You can also elect to receive other memorial items like a nose-print or fur clipping as well.

We know that the loss of a pet can be devastating. You don’t have to go through this alone. ❤️
