Thanks to so many who took the time to wish me birthday greetings over the weekend!

It was a BIG one.....80! The good news is I'm still on the north side of the ground, apparently in good health, and have purpose in my life helping others learn more quickly what It took me to learn over 50+ years. Deb is still putting up with me and is my partner in most everything, and I have the two most wonderful sons who traveled to spend the weekend with us in their boyhood home in Vermont!

I am blessed!

Everyone is talking about AI.....I am talking about AO! Airway Optimization. And Airway Optimization is supported by Anterior Optimization. I've been using this concept for years but first used these terms of AO during my presentations at the IAFGG Symposium in Buenos Aires. Yes, it means moving the teeth, and if possible, the jaws FORWARD! I will continue to say, "You can't expand your way out of an anteroposterior problem!" And an added benefit is that Beautiful Faces is the other side of the AO coin.

So many great speakers at the IAFGG 2026 Symposium! They came from the US, Germany, Lithuania, Italy, Mexico, Spain, Columbia, Poland, the UK, Australia, South Korea, Romania, Greece and Argentina! I was honored to be part of this esteemed group!

Different specialties, varied backgrounds, and different approaches but all with the single goal of helping the patient!😀

Congratulations to Dr Marisa Santos for organizing an absolutely amazing symposium - the IAFGG 2026! (International Association for Facial Growth Guidance) 😁 It was a packed house featuring speakers from all over the world. Marissa had promised Dr John Mew she would organize this meeting and she did so with such enthusiasm! The technical aspects were superb, the energy high, the gala incredible, and the speakers superb. I have been to all the IAFGG symposiums since the 1990's and this meeting was the absolute best. Thank you, Marisa Santos for such an amazing meeting and tribute to John Mew!

Yes, I'm approaching 80. (Can't believe it!) Yes, I'm planning on running yet another marathon. (Looking forward to it!)

It was my honor to receive diplomat status from the AAPMD (American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry) this past weekend. Dr Michael Gelb, Dr Larry Tilley, and Dr Sean Simon and I received the award for our contributions to the field of airway dentistry. Drs Jason Choorapuzha, Neil Dhillon, Farah Jamal-Ahmed, Joongseo Kim, Jill Meyer, and Randell Smith completed 85+ hours of CE with Drs Jeff Hindin and John Tucker to receive their diplomate status. Thank you Academy. Thank you AAPMD co-founder Howie Hindin. Together we are helping patients breathe better to have better, healthier lives. 😁
