There are no words to express our gratitude to everyone who supported our haunted house fundraiser last weekend. 🙏🏻👻A few years ago, we did a similar (but smaller) event at our old office to help our friend and patient who was battling metastatic breast cancer. Since her passing 2.5 years ago, it has been a goal of ours to host an event that would not only honor her memory but also help others with a similar diagnosis to live a full life made possible by advancements in treatment and care. 💕
Since the beginning of October, our staff has worked hard to decorate and plan for this event. We graciously received several donations for raffle gifts from local businesses and invited volunteers to help run the event alongside our office staff. We had patients and friends donating decorations, safety equipment, costumes, you name it. When the event came, we were so excited to see many people come through over the 2 nights…and even more thrilled to see so many contributions from those who couldn’t join us for the event. It was so touching. 🥲
When it came time to count the money and turn it into the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Dr. Chung spoke with one of the staff at BCRF who surprised her with the news that our fundraising event had a matching donor(!!) We are so proud to announce that over $15,000 has been donated to BCRF, all in the memory of our dear friend Tricia Gooding. We are told it will support over 275 researchers across the globe 🌎 and we couldn’t be happier to know we - with your help - are making a difference.
