MRI studies show that children who snore or gasp in their sleep have smaller volumes of grey matter in the frontal lobes.

This is the part of the brain responsible for:
• thinking
• memory
• attention
• emotional regulation
• decision making

When breathing is repeatedly disrupted during sleep, the brain experiences intermittent oxygen deprivation and fragmented sleep. Over time, this can affect how the brain develops.

Snoring in children is not just a noise.
It can be a signal that the developing brain is under stress.

Healthy breathing during sleep supports healthy brain development. 🧠💤
