Mandibular Tori Removal

Patient Information:
- Age: 38
- Gender: Male
- Chief Complaint: Discomfort and difficulty to eat due to mandibular tori.

The patient presented with a history of mandibular tori, which had been progressively enlarging over the past few years. He reported discomfort while eating, speaking, and during oral hygiene practices, such as brushing and flossing.

Clinical Examination:
Upon clinical examination, bony exostoses were palpable along the lingual aspect of the mandible, consistent with mandibular tori. The tori were well-defined, symmetrical, and extended along the premolar and molar regions of the mandible.

Under local anesthesia, surgical removal of the mandibular tori was performed using rotary instruments and hand instruments. Careful attention was paid to preserve the underlying neurovascular structures and adjacent soft tissues. Hemostasis was achieved, and the surgical sites were thoroughly irrigated before closure with sutures.

The patient was prescribed analgesics to manage postoperative discomfort and instructed to use antimicrobial mouthwash for oral hygiene. She was advised to avoid vigorous brushing and flossing around the surgical sites and to adhere to a soft diet for the initial healing period. Detailed postoperative instructions were provided, including signs of infection, bleeding, or other complications, warranting immediate attention.

After dealing with a third molar tooth pain for 3 weeks! I finally got recommended to this dentist. I called in desperately and was giving an appointment the next day but I received a call the same afternoon by Kate that they had a cancellation. Thank you Kate! You are amazing and care for others! Thanks for calling me and getting me in. Even though I was over an hour away! I made it and the doctor was so profesional and everyone there got right to me and now I am feeling better! Thank you all for what you do!

So skillful and painless! This tooth broke... - by Emma F.

So skillful and painless! This tooth broke on the side, so the extraction became super challenging. Without great skills, a surgery would have been required to get the smaller fraction out. Feel so luck to have Dr. Chen who was able to get it out completely based on the X-ray on the spot.

I have the worst dental phobia that has followed me throughout my life and made going to the dentist so traumatic, But I came here for an emergency today and I was so desperate and scared and I don't think I could have had a better experience. I've never ever had this good of an experience at the dentist and I left here feeling so grateful. I literally fell asleep during two root canals because they were just that gentle and they just did such a good job I cannot say enough good things about this place

My daughter has never been comfortable at dentists. I had bad experience with a dentist in town where they wanted to pull my tooth but it was saved by care smile dental. My daughter was comfortable there and liked it better then the others. Great positive environment and people will recommend to anyone.
