What happens if there's a cavity but the gum tissue is covering it? This kiddo came in with a cavity on a tooth that wasn't all the way in the mouth yet. This can be a tricky problem, but to the rescue!

We love using our CO2 laser because it both ablates and coagulates (it "cuts" but also "clots", minimizing any bleeding while doing its cutting), which makes it an elegant tool that's perfect for this situation. It got the tissue out of the way, making it an easy cavity to fix! Good as new!

Dental trauma can be incredibly stressful, especially if it happens to your toddler! We were grateful to be able to help this brave 3yo kiddo out. After going through all the various options, parents decided to have us extract the hopeless crown-root fractured lateral incisor and restore the fractured central incisor with a zirconia crown done chairside with nitrous oxide. Thanks to for the crowns that lead to great esthetic and functional outcomes.
