Let’s break down what you’re seeing in these X-rays.

Before dental implants can be placed, there needs to be enough healthy bone to properly support the implant. In this case, the patient did not have enough bone volume for implant placement.

A bone grafting procedure was performed to help rebuild the area and create a stronger foundation for future dental implants.

After healing, the patient now has enough bone support to move forward with implant treatment.

Bone grafting can play an important role in long-term implant success and may help create more treatment options for patients with bone loss.
