Graduate of West Virginia University School of Dentistry, Dr. Emily Mayhew is the daughter of Dr. John Mayhew and the wife of Dr. Ted Smith. She was born and raised in Jefferson County, WV, graduating from Jefferson High School in 2004. She now resides in the Harpers Ferry area. Dr. Emily Mayhew re
ceived her bachelor's degree of science in Animal and Nutritional Sciences from West Virginia University in 2008. She is a member of the American Dental Association, West Virginia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Emily Mayhew was awarded the Academy of Operative Dentistry award for excellence in fillings. In addition, she is LASER certified. Dr. Emily Mayhew has served the community in various service organizations, including the local United Way's Mission of Mercy dental clinic in 2009 and the Morgantown Ronald McDonald House Charity for a total of over 100 hours. Graduate of West Virginia University School of Dentistry, Dr. Smith is married to Dr. Emily Mayhew. He is originally from Charleston, West Virginia, but currently resides in the Harpers Ferry area. Although he is new to Jefferson County, he already feels like it is home. Dr. Smith earned a bachelors degree in Anthropology from Sewanee: University of the South in 2006. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Dental Association, West Virginia Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Smith was awarded for his excellence in root canals and his superior skills in crowns, bridges, and dentures. Dr. Smith was also a volunteer for the United Way's 2009 Mission of Mercy in Hedgesville, WV. He has spent over 100 hours serving the community in other various organizations.
