Today is a bittersweet day at Harlem Family Dental.

We are celebrating an exciting new opportunity for our front office administrator, Shantel, who has been selected as Office Manager for Evans Endodontics, one of our trusted and preferred endodontic specialists in the CSRA.

While we will miss her dearly, we are incredibly proud to see one of our own grow, advance, and be recognized for her leadership, professionalism, and heart. Watching our team members succeed—wherever their journey takes them—is something we truly value.

Shantel, thank you for all you’ve given to our patients and our team. We are cheering you on and wishing you nothing but success and fulfillment in this next chapter. 💙✨

Yesterday’s Christmas party was such a special time for our Harlem Family Dental team, and we loved having the chance to celebrate alongside our Thomson Family Dental family as well. It meant so much to slow down, come together, and enjoy quality time filled with laughter and connection.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, compassion, and teamwork our Harlem crew brings every single day—not only to our patients, but to one another. From fun games and prizes to great food and lots of laughs, it was the perfect way to celebrate the season and show our appreciation.

We feel truly blessed to work with such an amazing team and are thankful for everything they do throughout the year. 🎄❤️

Like so many of you, we were saddened to learn that Harlem Pharmacy will be permanently closing on December 20. They have been such a wonderful partner to our practice and a true blessing to this community. Their team has always gone above and beyond for our patients, and we are incredibly grateful for the relationships we’ve built over the years.

Unfortunately, the challenges they mentioned—especially declining insurance reimbursement rates and rising operational costs—are struggles many local healthcare providers are facing. As some of you know, Harlem Family Dental has also had to make difficult decisions, including stepping away from certain insurance plans whose reimbursement rates no longer cover the cost of providing quality care. In addition, the increase in no-call/no-shows has impacted our small, local team more than many realize.

Our goal has always been and will continue to be delivering the highest level of care to our patients and supporting our community the best we can. Harlem Pharmacy has been an important part of that mission, and their closing is truly a loss for all of Harlem.

We wish their entire team the very best and want to extend our heartfelt appreciation for the years of service, compassion, and dedication they have shown to our residents.

If you have questions about your prescriptions or need help navigating this transition, please don’t hesitate to reach out to their team or to us—we’re here to support our community however we can.

Her patients absolutely adore her, and it’s easy to see why. Lindsey’s gentle touch, warm personality, and genuine passion for helping others shine through in everything she does. She makes our office brighter, our team stronger, and our community healthier.
