Had the pleasure of spending the morning with the lovely ladies of Girl Scout Troupe 4273. We learned all about emergencies that can take place in a dental office, how they are prevented, and treated. The girls learned about basic first aid and more advanced interventions like CPR.

Did you know dentists and their teams are required to maintain annual training on:

-Blood Borne Pathogens
-Infection Control
-Hazardous Communication
-Department of Transportation
-Basic Life support (which includes CPR and use of an AED)

This was a bit of sunshine ☀️ on what has been a rainy week. Never underestimate the power of a smile.

Our beautiful patient hadn’t seen her smile for some time. On first view she was brought to tears. When asked why she said I wish my husband could’ve seen my smile today. We were married for 58 years. 🥹♥️

There aren’t any words just gratitude that God has blessed me to help people this way.

It’s Office Manager Appreciation Month!

If only you knew more about Jessica. Behind her professional attire and warm presence she is an exotic animal enthusiast! With bachelors degrees in both Animal Sciences and Agricultural Economics with a focus in Veterinary Business Management from Virginia Tech, Jessica has years of service experience with all types of patients. 😉 She also has additional certification in Amphibian and Reptile Husbandry.

Jessica has been a vital part of our team for nearly 4 years. Her dedication and unique background are unmatched. When out of the office she volunteers with EcoAdventures as an Animal Care Specialist/Consultant, the Maryland Therapeutic Riding Academy, and SPCA of Annapolis.

Jessica we honor you this month. Thank you for all you do. We also want to wish you a very 🥳 Happy Birthday! 🎂

Do what you love and you will always keep smiling!

Today I had the privilege of taking care of patients across the bridge in Salisbury, MD. What a day comforting patients, pulling teeth, and all at no charge. They were so brave. Therapy for me and no more pain for them.

If you or someone you know cannot afford regular dental care, Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy takes place this weekend at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center 7am-7pm. There is one day left.

Happy National Fresh Breath Day!

As a dentist even I want to meet the world with a beautiful smile and fresh breath. Some of my best advise for patients is to stick to the basics:

1. Brush twice a day with an electric toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste
2. Floss daily
3. Add a mouth rinse to eliminate bad breath bacteria

Above are a few products I love. (And in case you were wondering I’m not paid to promote any of these items).
