We will be open for business Monday, May 11th. We are happy to report our dental team has been healthy during the crisis. We hope you and your loved ones have as well.
How will our office function in the future and what is our reopening plan?
3 KEYS:
1. Follow rules from the CDC, ADA, and the Alabama Dental Board.
2. Use infection control rules and standards we have always followed.
3. Used common sense. The same as we have all been doing all along.
Have you found that when someone says "don't touch your mouth or nose", your nose starts itching? Mine always does. During this time, we have all had to modify, be smart, and SLOW DOWN.
What do I mean by SLOW DOWN?
-Wash hands
-disinfect hands
-wear a mask
-stay 6 feet or more away from others
-no hand shaking
-no hugs
Whew!!, this is tough. You have to think "virus" in everything you do.
Consequently, our office will be doing routine things that will take a little longer, with extra steps- to keep us all safe.
Here is what we need from you:
- with the new restrictions, please be flexible with us, and remember a big part of our day will be spent disinfecting our treatment rooms.
- Text or call when you arrive. Don't walk in until notified.
- We will come get you from your car when we are ready for you.
- If we are behind, we might text you to meet one of us at the front door.
- Be prepared to have your temperature taken, sanitize you’re hands, and to rinse with oral disinfectant.
- No patients can be sitting in the lobby. The only exception is a parent or family member with a child under 12.
- No "walk Ins". You must have an appointment.
Be prepared for delays, we will do our best to see you promptly.
We will be operating under strict infection control guidelines.
Thank you,
Dr. Dan Lakeman
