A confident smile, restored with a permanent, fixed solution.

Our patient presented wearing a partial denture over multiple retained root tips, with one simple goal: “I just want to have a pretty smile without worrying about my teeth falling out.”

Treatment included extraction of the remaining teeth and placement of four implants to rehabilitate the maxillary arch with a traditional AO4 approach.

A 3D-printed prosthesis was fabricated in-office and immediately loaded onto the implants the same day, providing immediate fixed teeth. Following 12 weeks of healing, the patient received a final FP3-style zirconia hybrid prosthesis, restoring both esthetics and function.

A birthday bike accident that led to a life-changing smile makeover.

Following the accident, we carefully planned treatment to restore both function and aesthetics:

• Atraumatic extraction of #9 & #10 due to vertical root fractures
• Immediate implants at #9 & #10, restored the same day with provisional crowns to condition the gingival architecture and provide immediate esthetics
• Full crown preparations on #6–8 & 11 to complement the patient’s facial profile and create ideal smile symmetry
• Custom zirconia abutments for the 9 & 10 implant crowns
• Custom zirconia crowns with hand-painted porcelain on 6–11

Every detail was designed to create a natural result while preserving the patient’s smile.

Dr. Jordan recently attended a Remote Anchorage Pterygoid Implant Course at Colorado Surgical Institute in Greeley, Colorado.

Adding pterygoid implants in the posterior maxilla can help eliminate cantilever forces in the distal extension of our AOX prosthetics, providing another valuable tool for achieving long-term success in complex full-arch cases.

In this case, treating both arches at once wasn’t an option, so we focused first on the teeth that needed our attention most. Four months later, this patient received a beautiful final zirconia FP3 hybrid restoration and a new smile they can feel confident in.
