Blue Lake Oral Surgery is the proud title sponsor of Sorella Forte!

Starting Saturday March 5th, Sorella Forte’s Intermediate Saturday rides are back! We lead women-only rides every Saturday at 9am out of River City Bicycles in Portland. This awesome women’s no-drop group ride is open to all women/femme/trans/non-binary folx. All rides start at River City Bicycles located at 706 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

This is an intermediate ride. Pace is 13-18 mph depending on terrain and route and no one gets left behind! No drop means we will stop to fix flats, take a bathroom break, and re-group at major turns on the route.

Bring: water, snacks, your helmet (required), a spare inner tube, flat tire repair tools, pump/CO2 cartridge. Winter tires/fenders/buddy flap recommended!

Wheels up at 9am so please arrive 10 minutes before for intros and instructions. Parking on the street or under the bridge, please, no parking in the shop lot. We aim to be back to the shop by Noon.

Dr Smith and her teammates had a great ride today!

Today’s Intermediate Ride: A great loop hugging the Willamette River! The team headed south on the Springwater Corridor and crossed the river at the Sellwood Bridge to climb up the Cemetery Hill then to West Linn. Some really nice weather for February: sun, clouds, and only two raindrops.

We are continuing to celebrate our fantastic team members, by introducing another one of our surgical assistants. Meet Kathy. Kathy is always on the run, ordering our surgical supplies and keeping them stocked, as well as assisting Dr Smith during surgery. A little about Kathy:

My oral surgery career began in 1976. Working with the best surgeons and co-workers, some over 20 years has been very rewarding. I consider offering responsible care and compassion to our community a privilege. As a native Oregonian, I enjoy our state outdoors, travel, gardening, and spending time with my family.
