A beautiful smile transformation and comprehensive case setup for our lovely patient with gum treatment followed by 10 porcelain veneers ✨. The teeth had a “trapezoidal” shape due to recession and defects in the gum margins, as well as flat edges and old composite fillings. These were due to years of grinding and restrictive bite patterns. Form follows function. Gum health was initially addressed and then a new bite pattern was engineered to improve bite mechanics and minimize excessive bite force in the front teeth 🙌🏻

An advanced, complex case involving a revision of 20 upper and lower porcelain veneers and crowns done elsewhere.
▪️A gum elevation procedure was done first to address our patient’s gummy smile, and to establish the margins to which the porcelain will begin.
▪️Her collapsed restricted bite had pushed the teeth out creating abfractions-crevices at the gum line. We increased the vertical dimension by adding porcelain to the bite surfaces giving more freedom, and added volume to the back teeth giving a broader smile.
▪️Also notice the natural texture incorporated on the surfaces of the porcelain to give the teeth a more natural lifelike appearance.

Same day emergency repair of a cracked tooth with composite bonding. After a little panic, I’m happy we were able to accommodate this standout patient. Most dentists would say this tooth needs a crown. But not if you have the artistry, skills and knowledge to sculpt a tooth from scratch like nothing happened. All while preserving healthy natural tooth structure with composite bonding. 🪄😊

A confident, natural, more youthful smile transformation with 20 porcelain veneers for our lovely patient, a mom of 3 who finally decided it was time to put herself first.
We addressed discolored flat worn teeth from decades of grinding, while keeping the brightness to a natural minimum. She did not want super bright. (Every patient has different desires, we value patient feedback and interaction)
Notice a few things: her lip raises higher showing more tooth, we broadened her smile (more teeth showing in the back) and straightened the midline betweeen the 2 front teeth.

Years of undiagnosed acid erosion from the enamel wore these teeth down and produced stains which could. It be removed. Not only did we enhance the smile with porcelain veneers, we stopped the erosive process in its tracks by getting our lovely patient to a GI doctor and proper management and prevention. Erosion oftentimes comes from asymptomatic GERD (reflux) which can also damage the esophagus.
