The new DHHS building in Raleigh is truly a show piece. We are extremely proud of the work we were able to do at this magnificent building. 11 floors of interior heavy glass storefront systems from Frameworks and totaling over 40,000 sq/ft. We also teamed up with for a one of a kind exterior custom glass rail system. Thank you .built for trusting to take on this project with you.

Job Summary
Are you a strong, hard worker willing to learn a valuable skilled trade?? If so, then our team is looking for you!!

Job Responsibilities:
- Convert inquiries into estimates while promoting the company's mission
- Maintain files of working documents as back‐up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists
- Generate initial budget estimates for new projects including estimate refinements
- Develop estimates for all changes to the work during the construction/installation phases
- Develop and maintain a database of costs comparison
- Compile overall project summaries on cost at the conclusion of the project
- Completes quantity takeoffs and summations of materials
- Works with vendors in obtaining best prices for materials
- Maintains vendor price lists and discount terms and allowances
- Develops knowledge of materials used, the best suppliers, and competitive prices
- Provides alternative specifications to offer cost savings opportunities
- Accurate estimates that meet customer and company requirements and for schedule, scope of work and quality of profitability
- Consult with outside vendors to coordinate work that can be performed within specified timelines and provide all necessary information to complete the role including quotes for the job to be performed
- Other duties as assigned

Job Skills & Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial glass experience and/or estimating experience (preferred)
- Experience with large value projects
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings
- Must be able to read and interpret architectural specifications
- Have a general knowledge of how to use construction materials
- Experience using estimating software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Have good communications skills and ability to work together well with others
- Lift and carry heavy loads up to 80lbs (In some cases)

One of 2 spaces we are a part of renovating in this New Bern shopping center, GlassTech upgraded the exterior curtain wall for the new Kohls space. We also supplied the bathroom and dressing room mirrors along with the cart coral custom glass rail. Stayed tuned for pics on the second space.

Started this school in December and boy have we been busy. Johnston County Public School Swift Creek Elementary with has 2” x 6” front-set storefront with some really dark tinted glass form and . We should have this one dried in by the end of February!!!!
