The Athens Area Community Foundation recently shared the story of Drs. David and Patti Bradley and the Spencer Bradley Foundation for Mental Health, which they created in honor of their son, Spencer.
Their hope is that something born from profound loss can help bring support, awareness, and hope to young people and families who need it.

We’re grateful to see their story shared so thoughtfully.

After losing their son to su***de, Patti and David Bradley founded the Spencer Bradley Foundation for Mental Health to help youth and young adults struggling with mental health. The Athens Area Community Foundation helped them turn grief into action and make a statewide impact.

Our **Smiles from the Heart Free Day of Dentistry** is coming up Friday, October 23! We know you may have questions, so here are a few answers to help you plan your visit.

❓ **Is it really free?**
YES! There is absolutely no charge for the dental care provided during this event.

❓ **Do I need an appointment?**
No appointment necessary! Patients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.

❓ **Do I need dental insurance or proof of income?**
No! Neither dental insurance nor proof of income is required.

❓ **Who can attend?**
Adults ages 18 and older who need dental care. You do not need to be an existing Lake Oconee Dentistry patient. (Children under 18 not allowed in treatment rooms. Childcare not provided.)

❓ **What services are available?**
Each patient can receive ONE of the following:
🦷 Dental cleaning
🦷 Filling
🦷 Extraction

The appropriate treatment will be determined based on your dental needs.

❓ **What time should I arrive?**
Registration is open from **7:30 a.m. to noon** on Friday, October 23. The first 100 patients are guaranteed to be seen, and we hope to help even more!

Nearly $400,000 in free dental care — and a whole lot of smiles. ❤️

Since 2008, Lake Oconee Dentistry and Lake Oconee Oral Surgery have given back through free dental care events for members of our community.

Over the years, we've provided nearly $400,000 in free dentistry to people who needed care — and last year's Smiles from the Heart was our biggest event yet. In a single day, 150 people received free dental care, including 74 extractions, 33 fillings and 62 cleanings — totaling more than $48,000 in donated care.

This year, we're doing it again.

Do you need a bone graft before getting a dental implant?
