We’ve also changed our name! Bagley Family Dentistry is now Next Door Dental.

Bagley Family Dentistry has acquired the other half of our current building, and has just completed a total renovation of what is now the right hand side of our practice. Our lobby is now ginormous, we have a dedicated place for the kiddos to play and hang out, we’ve got more operatories, more exam rooms, more bathrooms, more furniture, and more stuff hanging on the walls. Of course we still have

Doctor Thomas Bagley, and we’ve got a whole mess of happy hygienists, assistants, and receptionists, all ready to take good care of you and your whole family. So, yeah, we’ve got lots more room and lots of staff, so if you’ve got more friends and family who are looking for a dental practice, we’ve got a nice big one practically next door to you. Rest assured, we haven’t been bought out by some big corporate dental franchise, and the familiar, friendly faces you’re used to are not going anywhere. We’ve just outgrown our space, and wanted to make sure we had room to keep on growing and helping as many families in the neighborhood as possible. That’s why we’ve simply moved Next Door.

My journey began almost 20 years ago, searching for ways to improve my own life. Nine years ago, I attended my first American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) meeting in Boston. There I witnessed a great potential treatment that, tragically, had many bureaucratic roadblocks preventing it from becoming part of best practices for patient care.

Five years ago, I made some major changes in my practice, with an eye toward affecting change in my entire industry. Two years ago, I passed my ABDSM (American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine) and became a diplomate. For perspective, in the greater Piedmont Triad area, there are only three ABDSM Diplomates: Dr. Mark Katz, Dr. Sandra Fuller, and myself, Dr. Thomas Bagley.

It was great to see the two of them in Chicago at the annual meeting for the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. It demonstrates that, like myself, they are anxious to stay up to date on the latest advancements in care and treatment of patients. My goal since the beginning has been to help others get better sleep and live longer, healthier lives. It has been satisfying to see significant changes in the quality of life of people I truly care about. But it is not enough.

We have barely scratched the surface, and millions of people still need help. Maybe you are one of them, or perhaps someone you love. I’m happy to assure you that there is hope, and great things are coming that will revolutionize the way we help people with sleep challenges!
