If your child isn’t quite ready for expansion/orthodontic treament, I love to serve as the quarterback for airway care. I can get you in touch with a team of providers (ENT, tongue tie release specialists, and myofunctional therapists) to get your little one on the right track while I continue to monitor their need and readiness for expanders!

We have some exciting news! Montoure / Hanson / Teske Orthodontics of Green Bay and Engage Orthodontics are joining forces! Drs. Hanson and Hammerbeck will continue to see their patients in Green Bay, and Dr. Klobucarich will continue to see her patients in Appleton.

This patient was such a pleasure to work with during my residency, and she was a rockstar throughout her entire treatment. She had three impacted teeth, one of which was erupting in the horizontal direction in the mandible! 😳 All three came in with a little time, strategic orthodontic force application, and TLC. Background and Education
Dr. Melanie Hammerbeck was born and raised in the Green Bay area, graduating from Pulaski High School (Melanie Hoffman). She then attended Michigan Technological University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Exercise Physiology, with a Minor in Spanish. During her time at Michigan Tech, she was a member of the Women’s Soccer and Track and Field Teams, while maintaining a 4.0 grade point average. Dr. Hammerbeck graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry, receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She was inducted into in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, joining Dr. Hanson in this honorary group. She remained at Marquette University to pursue her specialty training in orthodontics and obtained her Master’s of Science degree. Her research topics focus on the mechanical bending properties of orthodontic wires as well as CAD/CAM technology in dentistry.
Continuing Education
As a certified orthodontic specialist, Dr. Hammerbeck attends numerous continuing education courses throughout the year. Dr. Hammerbeck continues to maintain educational excellence by staying current in the most recent orthodontic treatment philosophies to provide the best possible care to her patients.
In the Orthodontic and Dental Community
Dr. Hammerbeck maintains active memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, the Midwest Society of Orthodontics, the Wisconsin Society of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, and the Wisconsin Dental Association. She currently serves as the orthodontic advisor of the Titletown Study Club.
Dr. Hammerbeck’s research has been published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry titled, “Interproximal Distance Analysis of Stereolithographic Casts Made by CAD-CAM Technology: An in Vitro Study.”
Outside the Office and in our Community
Dr. Hammerbeck and her husband Adam are so excited to be back in Green Bay! Adam attended St. Norbert College and fell in love with the area and is so happy to call Green Bay home. She met Adam while attending Marquette Dental School - it was love at first sight, bonding over late-night study sessions and tooth talk! Dr. Adam Hammerbeck practices general dentistry in Pulaski.
Outside of the office, Dr. Melanie Hammerbeck enjoys many activities– cross country skiing (and skiing the American Birkebeiner), coaching the Bay Nordic Ski Team, playing soccer, cake pop making, and anything outdoors.
