This week’s athlete of the week is Dalton Russell. As a junior, Dalton has been the cross country team’s number one runner in two of the last three meets!
He ran a personal best of 17:23 at Saturday’s Coach Wood Invitational in Whitesburg. Dalton carries an A average in his classes and is a great example for our young team this season.
We are so proud of you Dalton for representing Jones County so well! Best is the standard!

This week’s athlete of the week is Ensley Barnes!!!
Ensley hit .455 last week with 7 RBIs and she also recorded a complete game win pitching with 7 strikeouts.
We are so proud of you Ensley for all of your hard work and for representing Jones County so well both on and off the field!!!

This week’s Gray Dental Athlete of the week is Rylee Johnson!!!
In two games last week she had 4 hits in 6 at bats. Including two home runs, a double, 6 RBI and 3 runs scored.

This week’s athlete of the week is Olivia Edmonson!!!
Olivia has demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship and kindness to her teammates this season as well as maintaining a very accurate & consistent serve helping her team to their best record yet for JC Volleyball!
Thank You Olivia for representing the purple and gold so well and for all the hard work you pour into your sport!

Gray Dental will be open today. All of our dental equipment and sterilizers run on bottled or distilled water. Extra hand sanitizer will be provided if needed after hand washing. Due to the boil advisory, please bring your own bottle of water if you feel you may need a drink while waiting on your appointment as you are unable to drink the tap water until tomorrow!

Congratulations to this week’s Gray Dental Athlete of the Week…Mary Barnwell!!
Mary Barnwell is only a sophomore but she has been the number one girl on the Cross Country team all year through 3 meets.
Coach says she is a team leader and wise beyond her years. She also showed a lot of grit this week running in awful wet and muddy conditions.
She was a first team all region athlete last season helping her squad to its 4th straight region title and we are expecting big things from her for years to come! Congratulations Mary and Thank You for representing our county so well!!!

Big Congratulations to Myah Briscoe for being our first official Jones County Athlete of the Week!!!! 🥎 🎉
In this past 3 games she batted .500 with 3 stolen bases and 4 RBIs including a 3 RBI triple vs ACE to give the Lady Hounds the lead in the last inning.
Thank you Myah for representing Jones county so well! Your hard work has not gone unnoticed and we are so very proud of you!!
