Update on COVID-19
We hope this update finds you and your families well. We are eager to resume routine appointments as soon as the state allows. At this time, we will continue to provide treatment for emergency cases only.
Dr. Sisler and staff are working diligently in staying up to date with the latest recommendations from the Maryland State Dental Associaton and the American Dental Association in the ways we can safely return to practicing dentistry and providing you with the services that promote good dental health thus better overall health.
During this time and moving forward, you will notice changes in our office that will provide you and our staff with the safest environment possible.
1. We will be asking you on the telephone if you have been or are fevered, have had the Covid-19 virus, tested positive for the virus or have been in contact with anyone having shown symptoms of this virus and whether you have traveled out of the country or in any designated high exposure regions.
2. Upon your arrival, you will find hand sanitizers that we kindly ask you to use in the reception area. In addition, wear a mask at all times until we ask for it to be removed.
3. You will see that we no longer offer magazines or our children’s playroom as those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
4. Also upon entering the office, we will take your temperature to make sure you are well and will ask screening questions again.
5. To protect all those coming and going, we ask that no extra people be in the waiting room or operatories unless a health aide, parent or guardian. If possible, stay in your car until your appointed time.
6. Expect to see barriers placed on counters and extra personal protective gear on our staff members. Jackets, masks, extra head protection will become the norm until we reach the other side of this coronavirus crisis.
7. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. Our system of scheduling, seating and checking out after your visit might be a bit different. We will try to expedite both checking in at the front desk and exit after your visit.
Again, if you have a previously scheduled routine appointment with us, you will be contacted in the near future about rescheduling and if you are experiencing an emergency or have any questions please don’t hesitate to call our office at 301-895-8076. Attached below is a guideline on emergencies that require immediate attention.
Lastly, please know that we genuinely care and have missed our dental families. Together we will help forge a new path into having regular care in a most irregular time. Thank you for being our patient and for your patience as we move forward.
Hope to see you soon!
