44 West got its start in 1969, when Dr. John Albrecht opened a small downtown Grand Rapids office with one assistant and one of the city's first practicing dental hygienists. The practice moved to Grandville in 1988 and has grown from there.

As for our Cascade office, our 5-operatory building came to be in 1993.

A smile makeover isn't one-size-fits-all. Whether it's uneven color, worn teeth, gaps, or a combination of concerns, we take the time to understand what your smile truly needs before recommending a plan.

By combining the right treatments, we help you achieve natural, lasting results that complement your unique features.

We're proud to share that our dentists, Dr. Wierenga, Dr. Trierweiler, and Dr. Doublestein, have all been named among Grand Rapids' Top Dentists in the General Dentistry category for 2026!

We're grateful every day for their dedication to our patients, and to our community for the trust that made this possible.
