July 7 is Smiles at 7 Day! We celebrate this day each year because the best time to start seeing an orthodontist is around age 7. This age is a perfect time to evaluate for any concerns with tooth eruption or jaw growth so that we can make a game plan to achieve a healthy smile! 🦷

Some kiddos, like the case above, benefit from Phase I treatment to address things like crossbites, severe crowding, or eruption problems. At a younger age we can grow the upper jaw wider or create better pathways for erupting teeth, preventing problems down the road. So while most kids won’t need early treatment, it’s always a good idea to check — actually, it’s a no brainer since consultations are free! 🥳

AAO Orlando… where to begin? Laughs were shared. Sun was soaked up. Food and drinks were enjoyed. Dance floors were utilized. Expos were explored. Rollercoasters were ridden. Mischief was managed. Oh, and we learned some ortho stuff too 😜

You learn a lot about people when you spend 72 hours straight with them. Turns out we have some pretty great people at KBO (oh wait, we already knew that). Grateful for our team and all the memories we made during this whirlwind weekend!
