Long before me, and even before Dr. Pirochta (she worked at the office Dr. Pirochta purchased- he likes to joke that she hired him!) Tammy was the administrative guru of Cosmetic and Family Dentistry of West Michigan (now known as Healthy Life Dentistry).

Many of you had the opportunity to interact, know, and be helped by Tammy for 20+ years. While I did not have the chance to work alongside Tammy, her legacy of loyalty, compassion, and a servant spirit lives on in those who did and those who knew her.

We are sending our love and prayers to the family and friends of Tammy; may the Angels welcome her to Paradise 🙏

Last week, I had the distinct honor of attending the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women luncheon in Grand Rapids. I was invited to share the important role dentistry plays in monitoring and preventing cardiac events. Believe it or not, many people see their dental providers more than they see their physicians. So, if you ever wonder why we take your blood pressure at every appointment - now you know that our goal is to prevent anything bad from happening to our favorite people! ♥️

The event was wonderfully planned by the Grand Rapids leadership team and it was amazing to see so many people (dressed in red) join together to raise awareness for an important cause.

Out of an abundancd of safety and caution, we will be closing early today, 1/27/2026. Please call the office and follow the prompts if you are a patient of record with an emergency.

Also, raise your hand if you are ready for warmer weather?! (🙋‍♀️) tell your school aged kiddos enough with the snow day dances 🤣

Veteran’s Day is tomorrow, but we would love to hear stories about and see photos to celebrate the service members in your life.

Brandon, Dr. Kristen’s husband, served in the United States Air Force until 2016. Had to dig in the archives to find these!

Throwback Thursday (and a belated what we have been up to Wednesday - is that a thing?) 😂

Jenny is back in the office and so excited to see everybody! As many of you know, Jenny and Eric welcomed their daughter, Leighton Rose, to their family last June! ☀️

And in the theme of girl power, Dr. Kristen and Brandon are excited to welcome their third little girl to their family as well! Vivian Elizabeth graced us with her presence in early October. Big sisters are over the moon and slightly too enthusiastic 🤩

Lastly, our fantastic hygienist, Kendra, celebrated her wedding in late October. They had a wonderful day for a celebration and are enjoying a once in a lifetime honeymoon in Italy! Many of you have met Kendra as she has taken over for our beloved Anne, and those of you who haven’t yet, you will be well cared for 💛

Thank you all for your flexibility and grace with scheduling and appointment changes - babies come when they want to. It means the world to us to be able to share the hills and valleys in our lives, because at the end of the day, we are just a little ol’ family dental office in Grand Rapids, Michigan… trying to make our little corner of the world a better place through compassion and connection.

Flashback Friday to when Claire, Mallory, Christine and Dr. Kristen ran and walked their way through the Amway River Bank Run and got themselves some nice hardware! We say to not use your teeth for anything other than smiling and eating… but biting into your medal is ok too 😉

Last week we have the opportunity to spend a beautiful evening with the Healthy Life Dentistry team of past and present (missing a few) to celebrate the wonderful career of our friend and hygienist, Anne.

It was a wonderful evening and it’s times like these we can’t help but think how grateful we are for the support of these wonderful people and all of our gracious patients. Our small family practice wouldn’t be possible without the support of each and every person - so thank you for allowing us the opportunity to care for you and your families 💛 🦷
