🦷 Tooth erosion happens when acids wear away the protective enamel on your teeth. Unlike cavities, enamel doesn’t grow back once it’s gone.

Common causes include:
🥤 Sodas and sports drinks
🍋 Citrus fruits and acidic foods
🤢 Acid reflux or frequent vomiting
😬 Dry mouth, which reduces saliva’s ability to protect teeth

Signs of tooth erosion can include sensitivity, yellowing, transparency at the edges, and changes in tooth shape.

The good news? Small changes can help protect your smile:
✔️ Drink acidic beverages in moderation
✔️ Rinse with water after eating or drinking acidic foods
✔️ Wait 30–60 minutes before brushing
✔️ Use fluoride toothpaste
✔️ Schedule regular dental checkups
