TUESDAY TRIVIA: You come in for your appointment, and you hear us say we are going to "probe your gums"...WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?🤔
Think of the area where your gums and tooth meet, like a pocket in your pants. That pocket can be shallow or deep. The deeper the pocket, the more "junk" can hide in there. That "junk" is harmful bacteria that irritates your gum tissue, and will cause bone loss over time. By proper brushing and flossing, you can help prevent gingivitis (inflammation of gums), which can progress to periodontal disease (damage to the soft tissue, destroys the bone supporting teeth). 🪥🦷
