Several of our patients have mentioned receiving letters from their insurance stating we are no longer in network, specifically Cigna. We have been restructuring some our contracts, but are still in network with the insurance companies we have had previous relationships with, including Cigna. Nothing will change for our patients! Our office will be closed for the Christmas holidays Monday, December 23-Friday, December 27. We will reopen Monday, December 30, close December 31 and January 1, and reopen January 2. We have been having major issues for months with BrightSpeed regarding our phone lines and voicemail. We have been working to have these resolved to no avail, so please be patient with us as we look for other options. Our voicemail is currently down. If you are an existing patient and have an emergency over the holidays, please text 205-310-3058 and someone will contact you. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We will be monitoring the severe weather threat for Thursday. In the event we are forced to close early, ALL SCHEDULED PATIENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY TEXT OR PHONE CALL. If you feel that you cannot safely keep your appointment tomorrow as scheduled, please let us know as soon as possible and we will get your appointment rescheduled.

As some of you are already aware, we are in the process of implementing some new patient communication software. One of the many features included in this upgrade is text and email appointment reminders and confirmation. Please be patient as these changes go into effect. It will take some time to populate the database with everyone’s most current contact information and preferences.

Please add this number to your contacts (205-797-2948) and do not disable communications from it. As always, we will only contact you when it is necessary in regards to appointments or your account at our office. If you choose to opt out of text and email communication, you will still receive calls from our office in these instances. Our hope is that these alternate forms of communication will streamline our confirmation process, reduce missed or forgotten appointments, and enhance the overall patient experience.

Over the coming months we will be adding more features, including digital patient forms, online bill pay, and patient portal access.
