Today we're celebrating a very special milestone—Dr. Leon's 30th Birthday!

Dr. Leon is spending the week enjoying a well-deserved birthday vacation, but before she left, our TEAM made sure to celebrate her with lots of smiles, laughter, and birthday treats on Friday!

Dr. Leon, thank you for the kindness, compassion, and positivity you bring to our patients and our TEAM every single day. We hope this new decade is filled with incredible adventures, happiness, good health, and countless reasons to smile.

🎉Please help us welcome our newest Associate Dentist, Dr. Amethyst Vasquez! 🎉

We are incredibly excited to introduce Dr. Amethyst Vasquez, the newest Associate Dentist to join the TEAM at Smiles of Gonzales and Seguin Smiles!

Dr. Vasquez is passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality dental care and believes the best patient experiences are built on trust, comfort, and genuine relationships. She is excited to serve both the Gonzales and Seguin communities and looks forward to helping patients of all ages achieve healthy, confident smiles.

A San Antonio native, Dr. Vasquez earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology from The University of Texas at San Antonio in 2022 before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry in 2026.

Throughout her dental training, she gained experience in restorative dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery while caring for patients in community-based clinics across South Texas. Her background in public health has inspired a passion for expanding access to care and empowering patients to take charge of their oral health.

Outside the office, Dr. Vasquez enjoys traveling, running, playing pickleball, exploring local markets, and discovering new restaurants. She's also a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan and loves catching up on her favorite reality TV shows.

We are so excited to have Dr. Vasquez on our TEAM and know our patients will appreciate her kindness, gentle approach, and dedication to exceptional care.

TEAM training at Seguin Smiles

Today was all about learning, growing, and working together! 💙

The Seguin Smiles and Smiles of Gonzales TEAMS came together for OSHA, HIPAA, and Medical Emergency training to sharpen our skills and ensure we're providing the safest, highest quality care possible.

We believe that great patient care starts with a TEAM that never stops learning. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make today a success. We're proud to invest in our knowledge, our teamwork, and most importantly, our patients!

Happy 71st Birthday to Dr. Gloria Haug! 🎉❤️

Today we're celebrating a very special birthday! We had the pleasure of celebrating Dr. Haug yesterday with a delicious red velvet cake—and it was obviously so good that it was cut into before we could even snap a picture!

To make it even sweeter, the beautiful cake was lovingly made by her niece and coworker, Dr. Leon. ❤️
