A little time outside the office, a chance to get creative, and a reminder of how much we enjoy working together. 🤍

Our team recently enjoyed an afternoon of pottery painting, taking time to connect and have some fun beyond the day-to-day.

At Gold River Smiles, we believe a great team is at the heart of a great patient experience. Grateful for the wonderful people who make our office what it is!

✨ Celebrating 10 years of Shannon! ✨

Today we recognize Shannon for a decade of dedication, commitment, and expertise. We are incredibly grateful for all that Shannon brings to our office—not only her knowledge and experience, but the care, consistency, and heart she brings to our team and our patients every day.

Ten years is a wonderful milestone, and we feel so lucky to have had you by our side for all of it. Thank you, Shannon, for everything you do and for being such an important part of our dental family. 🤍

Here’s to 10 years—and many more to come!

We’re in the business of creating healthy smiles, but we believe a smile is about so much more than teeth. 🤍

It’s confidence. Connection. Kindness. Laughter. And making someone feel genuinely cared for.

Sharing this beautiful reminder from Dolly Parton today, as we remember a woman who brought so much joy to the world. ✨

Dry mouth? You have options. 💧

Dry mouth can be more than just uncomfortable—it can increase the risk of cavities, irritation, and other oral health concerns.

The good news? There are products specifically designed to help moisturize, stimulate saliva, and make your mouth feel more comfortable.

Swipe through to see some of the dry mouth products we recommend and what each one is best for. →

Prescription fluoride + dry mouth protection 🦷💧

Dry mouth increases your risk for cavities. A prescription-strength fluoride toothpaste can provide an extra layer of protection.

Clinically formulated options like Allday 5000 and Prevident Dry Mouth deliver high-concentration fluoride while being formulated with dry mouth in mind.

Ask us if a prescription fluoride toothpaste is right for you.

Comfort and moisture, whenever you need it 💧

When dry mouth feels uncomfortable, gels and sprays offer convenient, targeted relief to help you feel more at ease.

Products like the ones pictured help moisturize your mouth throughout the day or night—whenever you need a little extra comfort.

A simple addition to your routine can help make dry moments feel more manageable

Stimulate saliva + protect your teeth 💧🦷

Sometimes the goal isn’t just to add moisture—it’s to encourage your mouth to make more saliva.

Xylitol-containing products like Dr. John’s candies and XyliMelts can help stimulate salivary flow while providing a tooth-friendly alternative to traditional candies.

These can be especially helpful for keeping your mouth more comfortable throughout the day—or for overnight dryness with products like XyliMelts.

Not all fillings fail because they’re broken. Sometimes they fail because they’re leaking. 🦷

Over time, restorations can develop unsealed or open margins—tiny gaps where the filling no longer seals tightly against the tooth. These microscopic spaces allow bacteria to sneak underneath the restoration, where decay can develop unnoticed.

In this case, we replaced aging restorations with new bonded composite restorations that:
✨ Re-established a tight seal to help protect the tooth from recurrent decay
✨ Preserved healthy tooth structure
✨ Created a more natural, seamless appearance

A filling isn’t just about replacing what’s missing—it’s about creating a long-lasting seal that keeps bacteria out.

If you have older fillings, especially ones that are stained, chipped, or many years old, it’s worth having them evaluated. Early intervention can often prevent more extensive treatment later.

Your mouth can reveal more than you think.

A dental visit isn’t just about teeth—it’s an opportunity to uncover important clues about your overall health. Signs of inflammation, nutritional deficiencies, and even potential indicators of sleep apnea can sometimes first appear during a dental examination.

That’s why we believe in looking beyond the smile.

Comprehensive dentistry means taking the time to understand the complete picture, creating personalized care plans, and helping you be proactive about your health.

Because your oral health and your overall wellness are deeply connected.

✨ More than a dental visit. A partnership in your health.

The friendships behind the teamwork 🤍

When they’re not keeping the doctor on track, they’re keeping each other laughing.

From working side-by-side to their daily lunch dates, Laurie and Kaili bring such a fun, genuine energy to our office. Their teamwork is something we appreciate every day—and their friendship makes the workday that much better.

We’re pretty lucky to have these two. 🦷✨
