Please welcome our new dentist, Dr. Grant Russell, D.M.D.
Dr. Grant graduated from Southern Illinois University - School of Dental Medicine in 2023 and will be joining Dr. Schulmeister and Dr. Newquist in mid-July 2023.
Dr. Grant grew up in Eldon, Missouri and attended the University of Missouri after high school where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 2018.
From childhood, Dr. Grant always knew he wanted to be a dentist. His grandfather Dr. Mel Schulmeister and aunt Dr. Jody Schulmeister and uncle Dr. Larry Newquist helped inspire him to follow in the family footsteps and he is excited to begin his professional career serving the local community with excellent dentistry.
Dr. Grant graduated from dental school receiving magna cm laude Latin honors and won the 2023 student award for outstanding achievement in periodontics recognized by The American Academy of Periodontology.
While in dental school, Dr. Grant excelled in periodontics, oral surgery, and crown and bridge.
Dr. Grant will skillfully provide a wide range of dental services including Cerec technology with same day crowns, root canals, fillings, general oral surgery, cleanings, dentures, orthodontics, bridges, esthetic procedures, and pediatric dental care. Dr. Grant is accepting new patients of all ages.
Outside of dentistry Dr. Grant enjoys hiking, golfing, board games, building Lego, going on walks with his beagle dog, Louis, and spending time with his family and wife Katie who will be joining him in the practice as an assistant.
