🦈 In honor of Shark Week, let’s talk about Shark TEETH! 🦷
👀 Sometimes when permanent teeth start to come in before baby teeth have fallen out, kids can develop two rows of teeth. Dentists call it over-retained primary teeth, but we also call it “shark teeth” 🦈.
👉 It’s most common around ages 6–7 when the lower front adult teeth start erupting. The baby teeth don’t always loosen fast enough, so the adult teeth come in behind them!
💡 What to do:
Don’t panic—this is common!
Encourage wiggling those baby teeth 👅👐
