Dear Facebook Friends and Family, Below is the link to my beloved son and all time hero Charles "Tristan " Mancin's Obituary and Funeral Service arrangements...

It was extremely difficult having to write my second obituary in 17 months for a loved one...Having lost my wife in August of 2022 to breast cancer and now my son on Christmas morning after a 21xyear battle against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy...I am both physically and emotionally exhausted...They say losing your spouse and your child are the two most painful losses one can experience in a lifetime...Having now experienced both firsthand I can confirm that is indeed the truth...

But I will lean on my faith as I have done in the past to get me through yet another trying and difficult moment in my life...And when the smoke clears I will have emerged even stronger than I was before...Thank you for the kind words, prayers and support...Love Always, Mark (Doc), Rosie, Dr. Drew and Dr. Jessica

I would like to proudly introduce everyone to my new dental associate Dr. Frank Tamburello. He is a recent graduate of Tufts University of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Frankie received his undergraduate degree from Northwest Missouri State and is a graduate of Staley High School in the Kansas City Northland.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr Tamburello since he was youngster as our families have known each other for over 32 years. I couldn't have asked for a better person and representative to administer care to my patients. He posseses a great chairside demeanor and I predict he will be wildly successful as a dental healthcare professional.

Dear Patients:

This year has been a very difficult one for me, my family and my staff. It also dawned upon me some of you were not aware of the passing of my wife Lisa Mancin.

As many of you know I had been out of office since July 25, 2022 after my beloved wife and beautiful sweet angel Lisa was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. On August 20, 2022 my best friend, my soulmate, the mother of my children and partner of 35 years became one of God’s angels.

Many of you got to know Lisa on a personal level as she worked in the office for a number of years as both an office manager and registered dietician. In 2002 when our middle son Tristan was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (an incurable muscle wasting disease) she opted to step away as a fulltime member of the staff and chose to dedicate the next 20 years of her life to do everything in her power to ensure Tristan’s life experience was a special one. Her 24/7/365 dedication as a caregiver and mother was without a doubt an incredible demonstration of self-sacrifice.

I returned to the office full time to resume seeing patients on September 12, 2022. The transition back has been difficult as one can imagine after losing my best friend and partner of 35 years but my wonderful staff and you my patients have made the transition much easier than one could ever imagine.

The incredible outpouring of support and love from everyone has been beyond moving and words cannot describe what that has meant to me and my family. Despite everything I am truly blessed and thankful for all of the positive things I have in my life. Those positives include you my patients and my staff and I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you.

Again, thank you for being so understanding and supportive during the last five months, as I continue to gather myself, my emotions and acclimate to life without the person who completed me.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and thank you for being a part of the Northland Dental Family.
