We will again award scholarship money to women in the Lakes Region area continuing their education. The criteria to qualify are: financial need; demonstrated leadership ability through school and community activity involvement; and attaining high academic achievement. Must have permanent residence in Laconia, Gilford, Gilmanton, Belmont, Sanbornton, or Alton.

Scholarships are available in four different categories:
• Dr. Alice Normandin Scholarship – for a woman returning to school (adult learner) pursuing a career in the health field
• Katherine Daigneault Scholarship – for a woman returning to school (adult learner) pursuing a career in the business field
• Rose Emery Scholarship – for a woman returning to school (adult learner) pursuing a career in the education field
• Adrienne Stevens-Margaret “Peg” Normandin Athletic scholarship – for a graduating high school senior woman who has participated in the extra-curricular Athletic Program at Laconia High School

Applications can be obtained online at: www.altrusalaconia.org. Completed applications, with related documentation, must be received by the May 15st deadline.
