Dr. Steve Schiffenhaus received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Arizona State University where he conducted undergraduate and graduate research on biomarkers for a cancer vaccine at The BioDesign Institute & ASU School of Life Sciences. Dr. Schiffenhaus then went on to teach Biology, Biochemistry, & Physiology at The Princeton Review's MCAT Preparation Courses, General Biology I for Mesa Community College, & Biology at St. Mary's High School. Dr. Schiffenhaus completed a second Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences & Doctor of Medical Dentistry Degree at Midwestern University.

Dr. Schiffenhaus owns a private practice in Gilbert, Arizona where he practices Adhesive Dentistry with a Biomimetic Approach. Dr. Schiffenhaus is the creator of the Biomimetic Advanced Adhesive Restorative Dentistry (BAARD) institute in 2020. He is a thought leader and speaker for many companies including Kuraray Noritake, Ivoclar, Bien Air, Zeiss, Meisinger, GC, Desktop Health, & others…..

Dr. Schiffenhaus is married to Sara Schiffenhaus with 2 children, James & Margot, and lives in Gilbert, AZ. In his spare time he enjoys competitive pistol & rifle shooting, hiking, traveling, fitness training, & most of all - spending time with his family

To many of his patients, Dr. Schiffenhaus is the dentist who provides minimally-invasive care while going the extra mile to make them feel so comfortable, they nearly fall asleep in the chair – seriously.

When he’s not at the office, he’s traveling the country and educating other dentists as the creator and lead instructor for the nationally-recognized Biomimetic Advanced Adhesive Restorative Dentistry (BAARD) Institute or speaking at industry conferences and universities.

If you didn’t already know that about him, we don’t blame you! 😉 He probably never got around to it because he’s hyper-focused on getting to know you better. It’s how he provides highly personalized care.

Dear all,

I am excited to announce we are changing the name of our practice and undergoing a light “rebrand” - honestly the name of the practice is the last thing to change since I bought the practice in 2017. We have changed the name of the practice to my name. I have been fortunate to become an internationally renowned speaker, dental “influencer”, and thought leader for major dental companies. It makes sense to have the name of the practice in harmony with the popular “brand” I have been able to create both nationally and internationally- I am humbled and honored by this. Also very little of “SofTouch” is the same from when I bought it except for a having a kind, caring, & patient centered team - that we have not changed.

Nothing about our office is changing except what has already occurred over the last 5 years - to the original patients that have been here since I purchased the practice THANK YOU - you are amazing - to all the patients who have come and stayed after and those who left and came back - I am honored to be trusted with your care.
