This patient transferred to our office from another state while already in braces. Dr. Propp’s treatment plan was to remove the existing braces and finish treatment with Spark clear aligners.

Before beginning aligner treatment, a gingivectomy was completed in office to remove excess gum tissue and provide the access needed for ideal tooth movement.
For years, this patient thought they simply had “small teeth,” when in reality, excess gum tissue was covering a significant portion of their natural tooth structure. By reshaping the gum tissue, we were able to uncover more of their natural smile and create the space needed to continue treatment with aligners.

Now it’s time to finish the details with Spark! We can’t wait to share the final result soon!

Say hi to Kai! 👋 He’s kicking off his Phase I orthodontic treatment with an expander! 🦷

So, why Phase I? Some orthodontic concerns are best addressed while a child is still growing. An expander can help widen a narrow upper jaw, create needed space for permanent teeth to develop, and improve certain bite problems by guiding development at the right time.

Phase I isn’t necessary for every child, but when early treatment is recommended, it can help address specific concerns before they become more difficult to correct later.

Today, we honor and remember Isla. 🤍

Isla would have turned 13 on September 12th. Over the past year, we’ve had the privilege of getting to know her incredible family through our office. They lost Isla to brain cancer in November 2025.

Her story is a powerful reminder that while there are victories to celebrate, there are still far too many children and families facing the devastating reality of childhood cancer.

In honor of Isla, we’re raising funds for the Mary Bridge Children’s Hematology & Oncology Department to support the children and families who are in this fight.

Love like Isla, live like Isla 🤍
