The manner in which your child’s teeth are cleaned is different from that in which your own teeth are cleaned. Our dentist and dental hygienists are trained to provide gentle care for children of all ages. We are patient, caring and informative. We perform pediatric dental cleanings after providing young patients with a look at what the cleaning process entails. This way, your child knows what to expect and understands exactly what is going on in his or her mouth. A scraping tool will be used to eliminate tooth plaque and combat bacteria, keeping the teeth and gums protected. Excess plaque is removed through professional flossing and brushing.

Our pediatric cleanings also include a polishing of the teeth for stain removal and the application of fluoride. We take the extra step of instructing kids about the basics of oral health as youngsters often listen closely to the dentist as opposed to mom and/or dad.
