Those who know me, know just how prominent a figure my grandfather has been in my life. He displayed the ultimate examples of kindness, generosity, and perseverance… just to name a few. From going to UT games, enjoying his (charcoal) grilled filets, to getting the ultimate opportunity to work along side him for a time… all are cherished memories that I can keep forever.
I believe he is reuniting with long lost loved ones and experiencing true peace. The first time he was hospitalized when all this began… I was visiting him in the hospital and didn’t want to leave. I said something to the effect of I didn’t want him to be alone. His response: I’m never alone. I have Jesus with me, always.
Dr. Glenn Jones was my mentor. He was my educator. He was my grandfather. He was my absolute hero. I am so thankful and blessed to have known such an incredible man. He will always be my “Pooh-bear”.
