Job Title: Shop Fabricator

Job Summary

D1 Resources delivers comprehensive industrial solutions, from custom fabrication and millwright work to engineering, logistics, and heavy-haul trucking. Our fabrication team specializes in fabricating custom industrial equipment, hoppers, platforms, holding tanks and additional custom crafted steel fabrication components to meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

We are seeking full-time day shift (Monday–Friday) skilled carbon and stainless steel fabricators to join our team. Occasional weekend work and overtime as needed. Candidates must have their own hand tools that closely match D1 Resources, Inc minimum tool list requirements. The ideal candidate will be able to operate fabrication equipment to assemble mechanical and metal structures with precision and accuracy, while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
•Read blueprints and drawings, take measurements, and plan layouts and procedures
•Determine appropriate welding equipment and methods based on project requirements
•Set up components for welding or cutting according to specifications
•Operate angle grinders to prepare and clean parts as needed
•Weld components using manual equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead)
•Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects
•Maintain equipment to ensure safe and proper operation

Skills & Qualifications
•Experience with welding equipment and processes (MIG, Flux Core, TIG, etc.) preferred but not required
•Experience using electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)
•Experience with torch and plasma cutting is preferred but not required
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
•Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use proper PPE (face shield, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, hard hats, etc.)
•Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
•Proficiency in English
•Welding certifications are a plus, but not required
•Successfully pass a weld test and a print reading test
•Must pass a pre-hire background check and drug screening; this includes testing for ma*****na, regardless of medical authorization.

Job Title: Shop Supervisor

Job Summary
D1 Resources delivers comprehensive industrial solutions, from custom fabrication and millwright work to engineering, logistics, and heavy-haul trucking. We are seeking a full-time day shift (Monday–Friday), Shop Supervisor to join our team. Occasional weekend work and overtime as needed. Our shop supervisors are responsible for overseeing daily operations within the fabrication shop, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality. This role leads a team of fabricators, coordinates workflow, manages materials and inventory, collaborates closely with the Shop Manager, enforces safety standards, and supports continuous improvement in processes and output.

Key Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership
•Lead, coach, and supervise shop fabricators and support staff
•Assign daily tasks to fabricators and monitor workflow to meet production deadlines
•Train new employees and provide ongoing skill development for team members
•Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary actions as needed

Production Management
•Plan and coordinate fabrication schedules based on project timelines
•Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and ready for use
•Monitor productivity and adjust staffing or processes to meet goals
•Collaborate with project managers, engineering, and other departments
•Work closely with the Shop Manager to align daily operations with overall production goals and priorities

Materials & Inventory Management
•Order raw materials, consumables, and shop supplies to support production needs
•Maintain accurate inventory levels and track material usage
•Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
•Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
•Minimize waste and control material costs through efficient usage and planning
•Partner with the Shop Manager on forecasting material needs and managing inventory budgets

Quality Control
•Ensure all fabricated products meet specifications and quality standards
•Review drawings, blueprints, and work orders for accuracy
•Inspect work in progress and finished products

Safety & Compliance
•Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations
•Conduct safety meetings and ensure proper use of PPE
•Identify hazards and implement corrective actions
•Support and reinforce safety initiatives directed by the Shop Manager

Equipment & Maintenance
•Oversee proper use and maintenance of shop equipment and tools
•Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance schedules
•Communicate equipment needs and issues to the Shop Manager

Continuous Improvement
•Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow
•Implement best practices and standardized processes
•Collaborate with the Shop Manager on process improvements and operational initiatives

Skills & Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification preferred)
•5+ years of fabrication experience (welding, machining, or similar)
•2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
•Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
•Knowledge of shop equipment, tools, and fabrication processes
•Familiarity with safety standards and regulations
•Must pass a pre-hire background check and drug screening

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE JOB BOX AND TOOLS!!! This is a full-time position requiring travel, approximately 21 days out and 7 days home. Work days are 10 hours per day but not limited to 10 hours.

Description:

Installs, repairs, replaces, and/or dismantles machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints and other drawings in an industrial establishment.

Responsibilities:

· Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks.

· Follow instructions and read blueprints or schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

· Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools.

· Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, lasers, and plumb bobs.

· Assemble machinery and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures using hand tools and power tools.

· Perform routine preventative maintenance and lubrication on machinery and equipment.

· Select and use standard rigging appropriately and as designed.

· Plan work and solve problems.

Requirements:

· Must have own tools that meet minimum tool requirements.

· Be able to work safely at heights.

· Knowledge of Rigging and Crane signaling.

· Have a general understanding of welding principles and general ability to weld (MIG, TIG, Stick).

· Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.

· Follow all safety policies and procedures.

· Communicate with management along with all facility personal in a respectful manner to best represent excellent work ethic and provide our clients with the highest possible level of service.

· Look at flat drawings or pictures and visualize how they would look as solid objects.

· Use logical step-by-step procedures in work.

· Perform a variety of duties which may change often.

· Operate standard construction machinery which may include forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts for example.

· Must pass a drug screening; this includes testing for ma*****na, regardless of medical authorization.

Physical Requirements:

· Coordinate eye-hand movements;

· Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl;
