One of the most stressful calls a patient can make is “I broke my tooth.” The anxiety, the uncertainty, the fear of being without a tooth for weeks — it’s a lot.
Recently, I had a patient come in with a fractured tooth that needed immediate attention. Using two powerful pieces of technology — the iTero™ solutions Lumina intraoral scanner and the SprintRay 3D printer — I was able to design and fabricate a screw-retained temporary restoration and place it the same day.
