Here is how a lot of people end up with their prosthetist. The hospital has a contract with a provider, so that is who shows up. Convenient for the system. Not always best for you. That arrangement is about logistics, not about who will give you the best fit and the most follow-up. You are not obligated to stay with whoever the hospital sent. The leg is yours. When a device needs adjustment or repair, turnaround time directly affects your patient's therapy timeline. Because we fabricate and repair in house, many fixes happen in days instead of weeks. That keeps patients progressing instead of sitting idle waiting on an outside lab. For your rehab plans, that means fewer stalls and more predictable timelines. Speed and quality are not a trade-off when the people building the device are the same people providing the care.

Plenty of people tell us they already have a prosthetist, so they assume switching is not worth the hassle. Fair. But having a provider and having the right fit are not the same thing. If you are still in pain, still adjusting straps all day, or still avoiding activities you used to love, the provider you have may not be the provider you need. Switching is easier than most people expect, and the payoff is measured in comfort. Is loyalty keeping you in a leg that does not serve you?
