Dear valued patients,
Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, Dr Eric Meyer has implemented some preventive/precautionary measures that are effective immediately. Although some of these measures may cause inconveniences, the safety of patients and employees is our number one priority and we will continue to monitor the situation as details are released by State, County and Federal Health officials.
We wanted to talk to you about the current situation and what we are doing here to keep you and our team safe. As concerns about the COVID-19 outbreak continue to grow and impact our daily lives, we are continuing to closely monitor the situation and adhere to all recommendations made by the CDC and WHO. We want to assure you that our practice is fully operational and expanding our efforts to maintain the safety and well-being of our clients.
Our commitment to you begins by providing a safe, healthy environment. Because we are a medical practice, it is our standard protocol to sanitize all surfaces of our patient rooms before and after every single patient treatment. In addition, we frequently wipe down all surfaces in our lobby, restrooms and throughout the entire office suite during our hours of operation, and our suite is professionally cleaned and sanitized each night. While cleanliness has always been a top priority.
Our staff is aware of the recommended safety and hygiene measures such as regular and proper hand washing, correct sneezing technique (into a tissue or elbow, not the hand), and to avoid touching one’s face. Our office has increased our supply of hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and tissues which are readily available to use as needed.
In order to maintain wellness among our staff and patients, we require that any staff member or patient who is not feeling well, has traveled recently, is experiencing symptoms of any kind or a recent fever, please remain home.
It is critical that you reschedule your appointment if you experience cold, flu-like symptoms, or even a runny nose. Because the coronavirus produces cold-like symptoms in 80% of infected individuals, please remain at home when ill regardless of how mild your symptoms are.
There will be no fee or loss of pre-paid services to reschedule your appointment.
We will also be temporarily making changes to our booking and scheduling procedures, such as staggering appointments: creating more time in between appointments to allow for proper sanitation between rooms. We also will be temporarily reducing some of our service offerings to reduce the traffic flow into our offices to create more space between people allowing greater social distancing. If and when appropriate we will consider even more stringent action.
We understand the current outbreak is worrying and that misinformation and fear can spread more rapidly than the virus itself. For trusted, up-to-date information, we recommend visiting the specific coronavirus websites of the CDC or the WHO.
Once again, the safety and well-being of our clients remains our top priority. We hope you feel confident that we are taking the coronavirus seriously and doing our part to help contain the infection. Thank you for your support in our initiative to keep our staff and patients healthy! If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. Our channels of communication are open.
Dr Eric Meyer, associate and staff
