We want to keep you informed of what we're doing to protect you and your families while in our office! Based on the guidelines provided by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, we have implemented several NEW screening protocols that will be utilized both when scheduling, as well as at the time of your appointment. Please take a moment to review:
● When scheduling, a special questionnaire will be administered. The questionnaire will be repeated prior to the patient entering the office.
● Appointments will be scheduled apart enough to minimize possible contact with others in the reception area.
● Patients will need to wait in their personal vehicles or outside the orthodontic office until their appointment.
● Upon entering the office, patients will be required to use hand sanitizer and rinse with a special oral rinse prior to brushing.
● Companions, including parents of patients, will need to wait in their personal vehicles or outside the orthodontic office. For patients under 10 years old, one parent will be allowed in the office, but will be required to wear a mask and use hand sanitizer upon entering the office.
● Upon entering the office, patients (and companions) will be provided with instructions:
1. Keep 6 feet from all other persons when possible.
2. Hand hygiene – patients (and companions) must use hand sanitizer upon entering the office.
3. Respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette.
● Front desk staff shall wear a surgical mask throughout the day, taking care not to touch face, hair, or eyes. Front desk staff shall try to maintain a distance of 6 feet when possible between front desk and patients when conducting office functions such as accepting payments, scheduling future appointments, etc.
● Clinical staff will be required to wear an N95 or KN95 mask whenever they are within 6 feet of a procedure that creates an aerosol. Clinical staff will otherwise wear a surgical mask throughout the day.
● If possible, patients will be separated by 6 feet in the reception area.
● All items that cannot be disinfected will be removed from the reception and treatment areas, including magazines, other paper materials, etc. Barriers covering high touch items will be utilized when possible.
● In addition to the regular disinfection protocol, the reception area will be disinfected between patients.
● In addition to the regular disinfection protocol, the treatment area will be disinfected between patients.
● High touch surfaces will be disinfected often.
● Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the office.
● Trace instructions:
