We can provide you with clear aligners at our Hugo Coronado DDS, Inc. office as a convenient way to straighten your teeth. If you dream of having a straight smile but are not willing to deal with the inconvenience of traditional braces, wearing aligners is an excellent alternative. Clear aligners look similar to a clear retainer that surrounds your teeth. They work using the same general principle as traditional braces – they apply pressure to the teeth in order to gradually move them into position.

If you have any questions about Clear Correct please call us or DM us! 🤍🦷

Snack smart. Use a nutcracker, not your teeth, to shell nuts. No nutcracker? Choose a different snack. One poor decision can cause a lot of painful and expensive damage. Is it worth it to break a tooth for a nut?

Here comes Santa Floss!
In the blink of an eye, December is upon us yet again. The Christmas parties are on the rise, afternoon drinks and nibbles in the summer sun are becoming routine. Unannounced visitors, treats and pudding galore. Our days are becoming more and more full of the festivities that make the holidays so special and our hearts so warm. Unfortunately, these festivities are also likely to have us visiting the dentist a lot sooner then usual if we’re not careful.

To help you get through the holiday season, we’ve lined up some key tips on avoiding cavities and keeping your teeth as healthy as you can during this period. We will be posting them on our social media pages 👀 be sure to follow us!!

It's the most wonderful time of year for candy canes, popcorn balls, and cookies -- and this nonstop buffet of sweets can damage your teeth!
Still, you don't have to skip holiday treats. "Eat a single dessert and brush your teeth afterward," Doctor Coronado recommends.
“You'll expose your teeth to less sugar [with a single treat] than if you're constantly snacking, and that reduces the risk of tooth decay."

🎄We are still open! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call us 🎄

EXAM, CLEANING AND X-RAYS

Good oral health is so important. Not only does it mean that you can enjoy eating and speaking without difficulty or embarrassment – good oral health is also connected to good overall health. At Hugo Coronado DDS, Inc., our primary goal is for each of our patients to enjoy good oral health, and that means visiting our office regularly for exams, cleanings and x-rays.

Most of us know that it’s important to brush and floss every day at home. But it takes more than that to ensure your good oral health. No matter how hard you work at it, you’ll never be able to remove all the plaque and tartar that build up on your teeth over time. Only a trained dental professional using tools specifically designed for that purpose can accomplish that. If plaque and tartar is not removed on a regular basis, cavities and gum disease can form. In fact, you may have the beginning stages of gum disease without even knowing it, and the same holds true for oral cancer. That’s why we encourage every patient to visit our office on a regular basis, and why we include oral cancer screenings and periodontal care during your visits.
